Today the Board heard a presentation on Community Mental Health (CMH) funding risks and the potential conversion of our CMH to an independent authority.

I have a variety of concerns on the transition porcess, especially around client and staff welfare, but I voted no on the motion today to begin that conversion process primarily because I do not believe the legal case for doing so was sufficiently made. It is my hope that we get further details on the current legal risks in the near future before we get further down the road on the potential conversion.
